On January 31, 2026, a thanksgiving Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of the Well Convent - Bkennaya in honor of all those who contributed to the success of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV’s visit to the Psychiatric Hospital of the Cross, on December 02, 2025. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Father Jean Younes, ML, General Secretary of the Assembly of Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops in Lebanon. In his homily, he highlighted the human and spiritual mission of the Sisters in serving the most vulnerable patients, emphasizing that the Holy Father’s choice to visit the hospital reflects a profound recognition of this mission. The participants were honored with a statue of Blessed Abouna Yaacoub. The Mass was followed by a fraternal gathering, bringing attendees together in a warm and family-like atmosphere filled with appreciation. On this occasion, Mother Marie Makhlouf expressed her pride and gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event. Mr. Elie Yahchouchi, coordinator of the organizing committee, also praised their dedication, emphasizing that this visit conveyed a message of hope that rekindled confidence in the future. The participants also shared personal testimonies, reflecting on the impact of this experience within their respective fields of work and on what they lived throughout this journey, which lasted nearly two months. Their testimonies were marked by great depth and touching sincerity.
